Moby was so excited to finally go home with his new family. He ran toward the gate with his wagging tail when he realized that his parents were approaching. When they were about to leave, he was jumping up and down and was even leading his dad to the car.
It was a bittersweet moment for the shelter staff to watch Moby go to his new family. Caity said that she would miss Moby’s snaggletooth as well as his goofy personality, but she could not be more excited for the pup’s future. Caity also thanked Moby’s new parents for giving the dog a chance to live his best life.
According to reports, Moby first arrived at the facility back on December 15, 2017. He was the longest-stay dog of the shelter since it started its operation 54 years ago. In another Facebook post, the shelter updated their followers, who they said have supported Moby through his journey. They said that they might want to know how the pup was doing in his new home.
In the post, the shelter said that Moby was loving every minute in his new home. Moby’s new parents said that every day, the pup surprises them with special moments. They played with him one night, and he got pretty excited racing around their living room. Moby’s parents love seeing him happy like that.
